This module aims to provide information to understand key nutrition issues. Furthermore, integrate this knowledge into devising evidence-based nutrition interventions and evidence-based policies that meet vulnerable communities' health and nutrition needs in developing country settings.
The dissertation aims to enable students to synthesize the previous parts of their learning experience, build on their experience, and use skills and knowledge to develop, critically assess, and evaluate a potential solution to a locally relevant public health problem. Each student will be assigned an academic supervisor allocated according to the concentration chosen by the student and the area of expertise of the facilitators. Each student will be expected to produce a systematic literature review, a research project design, and a reflective essay.
This module in Public Health Ethics aims to provide students with the skills needed to think and act ethically in Public Health through introducing ethical theory and frameworks. Ethical issues general to public health provision will be explored in order to enable students to apply ethical concepts and theories to a range of contemporary debates.
